Paul A. Pusecker, of the Bucks County Impressionist movement, speaks through his painting of still waters, hushed moonlight and the serenity of new-fallen snow. As one critic said: "the nostalgia of yesterday is almost palpable when looking into his scenes."

Born in 1932 in rural Ohio, Pusecker developed an early affection for nature as he explored nearby expanses of woodlands and streams. Evenings were spent sketching his memories of the day.

He graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Fine Arts, studying under world -renowned Roy Lichtenstein amongst other artists. In Columbus he also painted many commercial murals including various interior scenes for the City of Columbus Zoological buildings.

Attracted by the burgeoning art community in Bucks County, he soon moved to New Hop, Pennsylvania. There, living on the banks of the Delaware, he was influenced by the work of his neighbor, John Folinsbee. Enamored with the styles of the earlier generation of Bucks County artists, he abandoned his abstract expressionism training and embraced a more impressionistic style to capture the bucolic scenes of the countryside.

Now living in Kinnelon, New Jersey, he spends much of his time returning to the rural Pennsylvania areas. Though his paintings he seeks to chronicle the disappearing scenes of rural Bucks County.

Pusecker has traveled extensively in Europe and the Far East. Several of his prize-winning pieces are held by Ohio State University. His murals are various USAF 8th Air Force facilities as well as commercial institutions in Columbus, Ohio and the New Jersey area.
